Start with the Prologue
Begin with the Prologue. At the start of a new game, the optional recap refreshes the events of the prequel before Estelle’s next journey.
If you want to try the game first, the official demo is available on Nintendo eShop, PlayStation Store and Steam. It covers approximately 10 hours, from “Prologue: A Young Girl’s Decision” to the end of “Chapter 1: A Looming Shadow.”
Estelle's next journey across Liberl
Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter is Nihon Falcom’s 2026 remake. Its Steam edition was released on September 16, 2026.
After stopping the coup that shook Liberl, Estelle and Joshua have become senior bracers. Estelle's next journey takes her across Liberl to uncover the truth behind Joshua's disappearance and confront Ouroboros.
Combat includes new Crafts and S-Crafts, Brave Rush for linking character attacks during Quick Battles, and the orbment system for accessing Arts.
Alongside combat, you can fish, play poker and cook with companions. Returning fan-favorite characters also join as playable party members.
