The Rank A target
In the 2026 remake of Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter, Rank A requires 450 Bracer Points. The maximum obtainable total is 452 BP.
Complete all story quests and sidequests and collect the available bonuses. Finish short-duration requests before advancing the story: even a little progress can fail them. Special dialogue choices can also raise BP.
Prologue: Midnight Attack
Midnight Attack contains several separate bonus checks during the Prologue. Complete each encounter and select the following answers as they appear.
- Gunfire at the lodge: choose “Wake Up,” the second option, for +2 BP.
- Win the Jaeger fight inside Le Locle lodge for +2 BP.
- Asked who carried Estelle and Anelace into the forest, choose “The Jaeger assailants,” the second option, for +2 BP.
- Asked what the Jaeger Corps did, choose “Move to a new base,” the third option, for +3 BP. The second answer earns only +1 BP.
- For the bluff, choose “Call? There’s no need.” The second option earns +2 BP.
Chapter 1: Ruan bonus checklist
These Chapter 1 bonuses are tied to Ruan’s requests and the White Shadow investigation.
- Ingredient Inquiry: turn in all six types—Monster Bone, Monster Fang, Monster Tender, Monster Roe, Monster Bird Egg and Monster Horn—for +2 BP and extra monster items. Three types finish the request; all six maximize the reward. Flying Shrimp in Sapphirl Tower drop Monster Horn.
- Sapphirl Snapshot: stand centrally behind the front-most pillars and photograph the device straight ahead. This framing earns +2 BP.
- Lighthouse Learning: bring the settings through LOW, then MID, then HIGH before starting the mechanism. Afterward, ask the keeper “Do you need anything else taken care of?” for +1 BP.
- White Shadow testimony: choose “The direction the white shadow disappeared in,” the second answer, for +3 BP. The first answer gives only +1 BP.
- Drawbridge Defect: identify “Human Intervention,” the second answer, to earn +1 BP.
Sunday Scholar: keep the quiz bonus
Sunday Scholar is a ten-question quiz. The correct option sequence is 2, 1, 3, 3, 2, 2, 3, 2, 2, 3; answering every question correctly adds +2 BP.
Do not leave Ruan with unfinished requests
Election Office Outrage and Winners Wanted open after Chapter 1’s main events. Finish them in Ruan before departing for Zeiss; both count toward quest completion even though neither offers bonus BP.
For Election Office Outrage, visit Nial’s blue sub-event at Hotel Blanche, then try to leave to receive the request. Question people across all four floors until the topic markers are exhausted. Report to Scherazard or Agate, choose culprit option 6, then option 2 for each presentation of the facts. Do not select “Give Up.”
In Winners Wanted, you must win one hand; losing fails the request. Its sequence changes with your chosen bracer partner.
Later checkpoints: Ravennue and the Glorious
After Chapter 5, Businesswoman’s Bodyguard, Distant Days and Mine Mop Up are available before the Valleria story events. For the bodyguard request, rest at the hotel to fill HP, EP and CP, then reach Ravennue in under 10 minutes for +2 BP. Budget time for the boss battle on the route.
During Chapter 6’s Research Facility Infiltration, save before the red event marker on the Glorious deck. The forced fight pits you against five Enhanced Jaegers. Surviving long enough earns +2 BP, while winning earns +5 BP; their Rage Boost can clear status effects.
Recovering the lodge bonus
- What should I do if the lodge Jaeger defeats me?
- Choose the retry option and win the encounter to keep its +2 BP. Proceeding after the defeat gives up that bonus.
